Forums - Sony - Left4Dead coming to PS3

@libellule

It is a good game. Well... thats if the previews will justify the actual final product.

It wasn't a real must for me, but now that its coming for PS3, I'll definitely get it.

I have a feeling it will be awesome, especially taking the fact that Valve themselves bought up the developer behind it.

Sounds to me like there's a good reason behind that aquisition.

Sorry for my bad englsih
I wanted to say :

I m surprise that people are not MORE happy because I thought that LEft4Dead was a good game (at least anticipated) and so I expected more :
"GREAT news !" or something like that (I mean where is Leo-j ?)

Aah ok, we forgive you...this time =P

Should sell well for the ps3...It could use another Million seller...Hopefully not a flop like orange box was for ps3...

^i dont think this will sell 1 million on ps3

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

I don't even see how this game would sell well on PS3 or 360. There's about as many maps as TF2, so that's how big the game is...it's got lots of replayability, but I have a feeling there won't be local co-op on the same system...it'll be online only. And that can't be very fun for console players...especially without voice chat on the PS3.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

why no voice chat for the PS3 ?

Time to Work !

There's voice chat, but it requires the blutooth headset, and I'd wager that 1/4 of PS3 owners at most have the headset...from what I heard, TF2 was pretty boring because of the lack of communication...not to mention the console versions of TF2 were limited to 16 players...24 is really the sweet spot.

It won't sell 1 million on either console.  Probably not on both consoles combined.  I mean, this is a $30 (basically) multiplayer only game on PC.  EA is going to be charging people at least $40 and probably $50 for it on the consoles.  Like UT3, it really moves too fast to play well without a mouse and keyboard, and requires a degree of control and precision you don't get from analog sticks.  It will probably be slowed down, and the experience just won't be as fluid.  Graphics shouldn't be a problem (It's not pushing technology), but this is really just a game completely made for PC controls.

 32 is the sweet spot!!

Well...really it depends on the map, cp_lazytown is crap with less than 32 imo, but other maps suffer above 24....I would like to see some maps that are designed for 64 man battles...but thats going to require some optimizations (which they say they are planning).

Also if folks didn't know TF2 is getting some pretty big changes to the classes soonish.

Sweet, can't wait to play this game on PC, though.  PS3 needs NG2.  Sigma was a waste to develop.
