I still don't think the PS3 has that many units in retail, the only stores i ever see with more then 1-2 PS3's are best buy/future shop and they have around 20-40 PS3's each.  The PS2 numbers should be interesting, i saw a wal-mart sell over 100 PS2's in 2 weeks going up to the holidays.

And you post it 10 times a day, I think we got it. Every user knows that the Wii sells out it's stock and that the PS3 doesn't, yet you seem fond of repeating it perpetually.

Us guys? All I see on fourms are SSBB threads and "OMG Wii hit 20 million" threads. I'm sorry, no win for you.

Maybe but isn't that because Best Buy put all their stock out on the shop floor (literally) wheras normal shops do not.

still, even a normal worldwide stock I would think needs to be between 800k and 1500k... probably at the higher end for Christmas... so unless VGC has overtracked PS3 the fiscals should show either very near to, or more than 10 million shipped LTD.

@Mummelmann,

You're right, that most will know this.  But considering that a few forgot that Nintendo really had to airship Wiis to the America market for Xmas (as per another thread), it's understandable to remind those once again.  At most it was warmbait. 

IMO, it would have been better if Avinash just reminded people that shipped does not equal sold, which is what is reported by VG Chartz numbers.   It always seems like a few either don't remember or are new enough to not know the difference.   It is implied by his statement but not outright said so.

I believe Nintendo's Q3 shipment results (October to December 2007) should be in within as few as six hours.
