I vote PS3. Every PS3 has access to the PS3's and at the least PS1's library :P

I wasnt saying to everyone lol just that you show some1 (young gamers) a game from ps1 or N64 they'll look at you like those graphics suck. Nobody posted why they voted ps3 so i said maybe most of them is young gamers that dont kno their gaming history.

I love to go back especially to old systems (NES and SNES) to play games i missed because it was big at the age I was shitting myself!!!!! Great EX is Chronno Trigger... Great JRPG!!!!




I never played chrono trigger.  I was thinking about picking it up for the DS/3DS a while back though.  Oh i remember one.  Although I dont know if this is the correct name.  Legend of Dragoon or something like that.  I liked that game.

I heard that name before cant remember... but for chrono trigger is a must rpg for anyone trying to play a classic.

I always see articles saying its the best rpg of its time ( my favorite will always be SMRPG though).

This is difficult for me. I love the first party games on the PS3 but this generation has been lacking in epic RPG titles. Normally I would say the PS2 because it had EVERYTHING, the game library was amazing. Whatever kind of game you wanted to play, you could find.

However, I'm going to vote for the original Playstation. It was the first console to ever blow me away. I had an NES and a SNES previously, but I ended up getting bored with both of them. So many platformers, so many shallow characters and games with stories that made Dr. Seuss looks like Hemingway. They were like Saturday morning cartoons but then the Playstation came along and it was like watching Vampire Hunter D late at night instead. It made me really interested in gaming, where before it was just something I did to kill time.

 The PS2 might have had the biggest collection of really good games, but the PS1 had so many absolutely groundbreaking titles, so many games that I think of as masterpieces. I'm glad that little box showed up.

So much mix feelings

For it's PS2 because it was one of the game that I really enjoy a lot but when psp came, it's good to play in a handheld like monster hunter one of the best coop games so I wanted to play online game interact with large community so now I am looking forward on Vita to play Ragnarok Odyssey and another title of Monster Hunter or Phantasy Star.

Well, Hardware wise will always be the newest released system (unless they decide to start going extremely cheap production) because of how technology advances.

Considering all the software though? Definitely the original playstation.

No system will ever surpass the PS1 for its sheer Variety AND Level of Quality of fun Unique games available for it.
Think about it! Playstation was a no name console that took down both Nintendo and Sega by Exclusive content ALONE!
That is crazy talk now days, but back then as a hard Nintendo fan, even I gave in because games, games, games, games, games.
