I don't know anything about a lot of things, but I don't think it's a problem until it comes to economy and politics, I see you guys discuss these things (Stock, taxes, health care, employment, etc) and I get depressed, did you guys have better education? or did you teach yourself all of these important stuff?
What should one do to improve? help!

Don't feel bad. Most Americans don't know anything about politics or the economy.
If you want to know more about how government and economics work, first learn your history to understnad how things came to be. Other than that, use the internet. The internet has more information than people know what to do with. However, if you choose to learn from wikipedia, check the source material first to make sure the article is worth reading. As far as economics is concerned, with the way the world market works, very few people actually understand it (myself included), so you're not alone there.
This last election proves how little understanding we have about everything. What confusing message did Americans send to the rest of the world? We're pissed off about our government, but we're still willing to vote for the status quo. The Democrats still control the White House and Senate while the Republicans still control the House. Worst of all, a lot of the more negotiable moderates got voted out in favor of more one sided candidates. Most Americans also said they would have loved to have a third party alternative, yet despite having Gary Johnson's name on the ballot in all 50 states, he got less than 1% of the vote. So, that was the message and I heard it from most people. "I'm not voting for him because I know he's not going to win", or "I'm voting for the lesser of two evils."
