Everyone likes Touch Screen .. so either you choose Win 7 or Win 8..i see microsoft as the Winner.
It feels great to see people hating Win 8 and involuntarily promoting Win 7...so thank you.. you are recommending a good product..those Win 7 adopters will find it hard to switch to any other OS and then slowly yet eventually upgrade to Win 8.

We already are laughing at threads like this.
Only haters and people who want to click are doing articles like this one, its nothing but a guy trolling on the web looking for money, i´d do the same if i could, nothing wrong with it.
Microsoft financials should tell the whole story, i think W8 did pretty good, not sure if better than W7 but W7 was a monster wont be easy to match its 700m sales, yet if it sells 500-600m that stills a huge success, people with Windows over the World is still rising up. Many milions with XP,7 and 8. If we join all of them there are way over 1 Bilion people using Windows, probably 2 bilion. That original! The rest of the world is using pirate copies.
WP is also picking up and should beat iOS by 2016 in market share but still behind Android wich sells at 19euros some phones here LOL Only Reason is on Top.

People don't hate W8. They just like W7 more. And I agree that W7 is indeed a good product and deserves to be recommended.
Time will tell. It is a Marathon, not a sprint (quote from fans who love PS3)....

| Flame said: I actually like windows 8. I recently bought a laptop with one and was I was a little disgusted at the thought of having it initially. But to my amazement, it works really well for me. I particularly like the massive speed difference between the two. Shut down is faster and reboot is faster. The start screen search function is improved and pinning to the start screen is very welcome. Took me less than an hour to master it. Overall, I'm not getting the criticisms. It works well for me but what works well for me doesn't work well for everyone else I guess. |
Haters are blind. Windows 8 is the fastest selling Operating System ever. They'd just prefer to watch Microsoft burn. If you go into something with a bad "this is going to suck attitude" How do you expect to enjoy something? These threads are getting old....
To MS it simple maths. Desktop OS worth considerably more in revenue and profit than netbook or tablet OS.
If the desktop market decline and the tablet share increases MS needs to shift a lot more tablet units to compensate for the lost of the desktop revenue.
I believe this is part of the reason MS was so slow on the tablet market uptake.
Although the enterprise server market is holding up it is coming under more pressure from linux - forget the web servers - I don't see that market growing as more companies (mainly in Asia) are adopting linux following the examples of Amazon and Google.
All in all I think MS are doing the right thing under current circumstances.
I hate the MS monopoly on desktoplaptop OSes and hopes for a more even playing field but that's up to the others, not MS.

Why do they insist on spending money on Marketing when in the end their new OS is just jammed down consumer throats because they just stop supporting the prior OS. No new machines are sold with prior OS. Things like that...
Apple does the same dang thing, yet spend little to no money "selling" or "marketing" their OS. New for Apple is all about design and function.
New for Microsoft is about, if you manage to learn our new OS UI, then you will have same UI on wide range of devices from Xbox to your Windows phone to your Windows tablet to your PC. I mean seriously. This is why they fail. They compromise simplicity by attempting to create new standards that can apply to multiple form factors of computing devices people might use.

Really a stupid post.
Why do new movies are promoted if the older one are just removed from theaters ? New movies are jammed down people throats.
Why do new music is to be promoted if the older track are just going to be removed from the stores. ? New music is also jammed down people throats ?..
Let me know if you have answer to this.
