If you read the thread, you can find a lot that don't need repeating. These guys just trashed the console. They didn't give an honest unbiased view on it. What more, it was filled with misinformation. I don't feel the need to kick those guys, since they're already lying down.

What? I have no problems with their review. It is just their opinion and I did not notice any misinformation. Of course I could have missed some bit, but most of it was opinions and facts.

Why do you want me to "contribute constructively" when you and most of the posters on this thread just do personal insults or something as constructive as that.  Also, I did read the thread and there was nothing said. 90's atms were resistive touchscreens, just like the wii u pads screen is. If that is what you meant by "a lot".

 

Ohh, watched it again and I noticed that they said that the usb ports were not for hdd:s. Which is kind of false information, since you can use those for hdd:s. You just have to buy a new one, because you can't use the same hdd on other devices.

So there is one point which is half wrong and no-one even refuted that one. How constructive!

They have their opinion, but its the additional facts in their review that is wholeheartidly wrong. They clearly came into that to simply mock and laugh at the console. They are douchebags that are the most annoying type of fanboys there are.

Can you tell me which of the facts were wrong? They don't have to like a console and of course they can mock a console if they like to. You disagreeing with their opinion does not make them "horrible horrible people".

Monopoly and chess are a games too, but playing only those doesn't make you a gamer. In fact both of those are significantly harder to beat/master than any shooter.

It only runs netflix. No mention of browser. ZombiU is more like a mod and not worth $10. screen is unresponsive due. no hdd support. sd card slot does nothing. ... etc etc.

This was the worst review of anything ever. They clearly just wanted to mock and laugh at Nintendo/WiiU. I doubt they spent more than a few mins even using the system and clearly have no clue about any part of it. To review something you have to actually use it for a signifant amount of time and really get to know its ins and outs. Clearly these pair of cow dung only opened the box, put it together, updated, and played like 10 mins of a couple games.

This is why GTTV (in my personal opinion) are far...FAR more professional (and less juvenile for one) than these clowns on AOTS and X-Play. They seem to let too much of their own feelings get in the way of their opinions and reviews.

This is why I couldn't stand Morgan Webb and the others anymore after 1-2 years of watching x-play. But these guys were masking their blatant immaturity. Yeah almost everything they said about the wii u is true, but they tried to make it sound so bad for people who were thinking of buying it.

So, the Wii U does have the USB slots on the back that can take external HDDs? Review said otherwise

The Wii U does have more apps than just Netflix? like Hulu and Amazon Prime? Review said otherwise

They critiqued the NSMB:U because of the new controlled player using the touchscreen, but why judge the game upon the fact that the person they had playing it wasn't paying attention or just not good, thats not the games fault.

I don't recall an indepth review of MiiVerse, or the EShop, or the web browser.

They comment that the screen on the Wii U game pad is lacking but the Pixel Density is actually pretty good, more than adequate. They didn't mention anything about how the stylus performs on the screen and they bashed the touchscreen yet in their own video, i saw them having no trouble clicking the screen..

I shall miss the old AOTS.. I'm glad that this is going off the air.

Apples and oranges. There isn't only one shooter out there, like there is only one monopoly and chess.

1) what else does it run at the moment?

2) Why should they mention the browser? Every other console has a browser, it should be clear that wii u has one.

3) Opinion, not a fact.

4) That is a fact, when you compare it to a capasitive screen.

5) This one was wrong, those usb:s do support hdd:s. You just have to buy a new one.

6) He said that he did not know what the sd card does, not that it does not do anything

7) You did show one thing which was not a fact, no grounds for "etc etc"

 

You don't know that and frankly, you sound like you are angry.

All I got from the review was nothing but condescending remarks and snobby jabs. I wonder why they reviewed it at all when they gave the impression that it wasn't worth their time to review it. G4 was too cool for the 3ds when it came out last year too. G4 is like the VGAs, they only care about Microsoft and Sony games that cater to people who don't like challenging games and need their hands held or else they get frustrated too easy especially if its not a retread of a game they are already familiar with. I still don't see how in video games the 'hardcore' is associated with non-challenging, linear 'mainstream' games
