Looks amazing but still that's 2013 games, wasn't it possible to make that years ago?

that's like you show someone uncharted 3 and ask why the first ps games did look like crap compared to the new ones. wouldn't it possible to make the last of us in 2006 for ps3?
and if you really think those games in the video should have looked like that years ago i really wonder what you expect from next gen consoles like nextbox or ps.

It's because we're still seeing PS360 games that have the same level design with lower-resolution textures and less effects than the PC counterparts. Next-gen PC games should be a generational leap, not the same game just reskined to look only a couple of steps better. We should be seeing PC games that look like what UE4 and the tech demo SE showed off. Remember Doom 3? That came out in 2004 on the PC, and blew away every single console game. We are 7 years in the console cycle, where are the PC games that look like what Doom 3 did back in the day?

You do know that Doom 3's level design was dated when released right? And then released on xbox, with lower resolution textures and less efffects etc.
Crysis 1 fits the bill as this gens Doom 3 and more so... since Half Life 2 replaced doom as the best looking game a year later... not really anything has done that to crysis.
Also, you can play most of these games new games in 3D, which is a pretty big difference.
Obviously, PC games aren't going to differ that much from the shear fact of, wanting/needing to port it to consoles for more easy profit. A agame that looks super amazing on PC, and doesn't get ported to consoles, is generally going to make a lot less than a slightly less amazing looking PC game that can get ported from consoles. Or is console version with a lot of bells and whistles (like hitman, sleeping dogs (or basically any SE PC game)).
The level design doesn't have to be gimped near as much as it used to. For instance last Gen Morrowind was a bad port, and Deus Ex: Invisible War had smaller levels than in the original. This gen Oblivion and Skyrim (were satisfactory on 360 atleast). and Deus Ex: HR had bigger levels than any deus ex before it and worked fine on consoles.
You're going to get custom controls, better textures, FPS, 3D, Resolution, Physx, with the availabilty of Mods.
