I might be over estimating but i believe the game can do 8mil life.... 3mil by years end! This game will be the next ninty franchise to make a huge impact on the world

I think you're reaaaaallly stretching it.

I agree it has a good possibility it will outsell it's GameCube predecessor, but that game sold 3.6m. And was the premier launch-title. I think it's more realistic to say 4.5-5m lifetime, with a good 2-2.5m in 2013. Which are great numbers really, but maybe I am already putting it too high.

Sadly, Luigi's face on a box isn't Mario's. Anyway, I hope I'm wrong and you're right. The more sales the better!

@Poll: 3D Land isn't going to make it to 10m this year, Mario Galaxy took another 3 years to get those extra sales from this point on. Okay, 3D Land seems to be trending above it for now, but sales will flatten out. I say it'll take another 2 years. Either holiday 2014 or January 2015.

I know about that thread. I find it pretty funny actually that Luigi seems to be winning. It's a poll on a gaming forum however and as such not really representative. Out in the real world, Mario >>>> Luigi .

This year should rack up loads of million sellers for the 3DS! Luigi's Mansion, MH4, DQ7, Tomodachi, Pokemon X/Y, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. There's a possibility of other games as well like Layton vs Ace, Inazuma, etc.

Also how many 10 mil sellers will there be by the end of this year? Most probably 3 (SM3D Land, Pokemon, MK7). NSMB 2 has an outside chance (maybe downloads have increased more than we think), AC won't do it though.

The 3 you mention will get it without a doubt! AC will get there but if not this year, next year i believe! Same goes with NSMB2. Still a chance for 5 10mil sellers is impressive in almost 3 years of 3DS is fantastic

Not quite a DS, but very solid. Hoping for a sleeper hit to happen, mgiht we get a big E3/Nintendo Direct announcement? I think Zelda/Mario Party/Diddy Kong Racing/Mario Spinoff are all in the books.

Also I forgot to add Fire Emblem may have a shot at a million, and couple of Lego games
