the reason why these games havent been announced for wii u is because its not in development.

Why? simple. these games have been in development for 2+ years already. Wii U just released this month.

Nintendo started sending out Wii U dev kits to developers like 1 1/2 years ago. That's when we got first Project: Cafe details leaking from Nintendo's developer assistance website (March 2011).

Nintendo even had Mr. Levine, the BioShock creator speak about the Wii U at its E3 press unveiling in summer 2011, lol, and yet no BioShock.

Bioshock Infinite was announced Aug 2010. 1 1/2 years ago was June 2011... do the math

That's still plenty of time to get a Wii U version going.

Developers just don't give a crap about the platform, word leaked on Project Cafe in March 2011, that's actually more than 1 1/2 years ago.

I doubt very many of these devs will somehow have any trouble announcing PS4/720 projects though the moment they're allowed to, they're probably just chomping at the bit to do so.

Pretty freaking sad that two platforms that aren't even officially announced and developers aren't even allowed to talk about seemingly already have better "wink wink, hinted at" content (Star Wars 1313, Watch Dogs, Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes) than the Wii U does.

I didn't say they didnt get them going. But it would definatly set back the wii u release date of that version. And maybe the developers dont think launching a game on the system 6 months after 360/ps3 would return profits. Basically im saying you need to give the devs time to make these claims. Any game releasing in 2014 would be my deadline.

Also ground zero is ps360 as well. not ps4/720

Ground Zeroes will probably end up PS3/360 (low res, crappy graphics version) and 720/PS4 (the actual "how the developers intended it to be played" version). There's no way IMO looking at that trailer that the game isn't running a fairly high end PC rig right now.

They're not allowed to announce a PS4/720 version yet because those platforms don't "officially" exist, not at least until after this holiday season when Sony/MS are done milking one more year out of their old platforms.

that would be the stupidest thing ive seen.

That's virtually gaurunteed. There's no freaking way the PS3/360 could run that demo as is without significant compromises. Also Kojima seemed very coy about the system's intended platforms. It's being made for the PS3/360, yet its not being developed on either platform, but on the PC instead? But they're not releasing a PC version? That's a dead give away right there.

They have to have a PS3/360 version because the PS4/720 version will be selling to a small user base and won't be able to cover the dev costs of a next-gen MGS.

I have a gut feeling that gtaV and bioshock infinite will be coming to the wii u eventually. Don't ask me the reasons - i just have a feeling :)

Bet with ninjablade:

Ninjablade wins if the next 5 multiplat on the wii u are inferior to the 360 version.

I win if one of the 5 mulitplats are on par or superior on the Wii U.

If they're not released day and date or at least within a month of the PS3/360 versions, they're going to bomb on Wii U and then the devs will just use that to say "see ... nothing sells on Wii U".

It's a total set up for failure.

Let me talk about rpgs.

For what it's worth, I do want to see the the WiiU becoming an rpg powerhouse, making effecetive use of the controller. I want to see PS3/4 & WiiU multiplat titles cause i do think that could help the genre flourish. Bringing the DS dual screen experience to consoles is a great move.

On the other hand, Microsoft snatching lots of titles for the 360 at the beginning of this gen (me too syndrome) was not only a failed endevour sales wise but as a gamer I feel like it was a a huge step backwards for the genre for two major reasons you can see in every single one of the rpgs released for the 360:
1) simplified / action gaming
2) dramatic drop of the games' challenge and difficulty

In other words I would absolutely welcome third party rpgs like Dark Souls II, Lighting Returns even Ni no Kuni on the WiiU.

People, bare in mind that Reggie stated that there are games that have not been announced that will make their way to Wii U during the launch window. I'm thinking Tomb Raider and Bioshock will be part of that line-up and maybe, if all goes according to plan, a GTA 5.

Why would that be stupid?? Does it look like what we've seen of starwars1313, MSG:Ground Zero and Watch dogs have been running on current gen systems? Obviously the game is being created for higher spec machines and scaled down for consoles. naturally if there are consoles being released which will be powerfull enough to handle these high end versions, which for the meantime I believe are PC versions, then it makes 100% sense for the games to be released on them. Its no different from what EA achieved with Battlefield

PC version, superior as the game was intended to be played.
Current Gen systems, compromised versions which have been scaled down.

Now add next gen to the PC version. Nothing stupid about that.
