Forums - Nintendo - So uh, no MGSV, Dark Souls II, BioShock Infinite, MG Rising, GTAV, etc. for Wii U ...

Do third parties even give a crap about the Wii U? Granted it could eventually see ports of some of these games, but it doesn't look like they're in development right now, which means they'll probably come out 6-12 months later (how about that Mass Effect and Batman Arkham City, Wii fans).

Seems like every one of these big new third party revealed games is PS3/360/PC and/or subtly hinted at for PS4/720 (Ground Zeroes). Wii U is like the guy at the party who no one invited.

At least there's Aliens Colonol Marines to look forward to, lol. Looks like my PS3 will remain my go to console for third party games until the PS4/720 come out because the Wii U is not getting very many of the major 3rd party releases.

Not enough time, install base not high enough to justify cost, profit return questionable, reasonable business decisions. If a Wii U version ever comes, good for Wii U only owners, otherwise not surprised.

This is honestly worse than the GameCube at least the GameCube got most of the major multi-plats at the same time as the other consoles (ie: Soul Calibur 2, TimeSplitters 2, Tony Hawk games, etc.) and Resident Evil franchise exclusivity + Capcom 5 + exclusive Tales/Baten Kaitos poops all over Zombi U + Rayman.

They don't.

I guess Zombi U turned out to be better than Red Steel. Could we set the bar any lower though?

The problem is that the developer side of this industry is split into two groups:

1) Those who want to develop the highest tech and most badass complex games possible

2) Those who are focusing on new experiences on phones/tablets

Wii U falls into the middle category. Very few developers care for it. They might, however, if/when the high end market crashes under its own pressure.

They may announce a version for the Wii U later. IIRC a few games were announced as Xbox 360 and released on the PS3 at the same time earlier this gen.

Tease.

There's a chance the games are getting announced later. Like Squilliam said there were some games that got only announced for the 360 and the game end up being on the PS3.
