Contradiction or not, surely you see how silly that is. Deriding Activision as greedy while criticizing them for being too generous. Actually, that does sound like a contradiction.

I don't think he was deriding them. I think he was just trying to be funny.

To be fair on campylopachter, Zuckerberg wore a hoodie at the IPO and didn't say the magic words. No way could he have predicted that from a such a maverick.

I think it has to do with the "strange" American culture where failure is excused/ignored and success is amplified a million times.

Have you seen any CEO penalized for running the company into the ground? Nope, they get paid hefty while the rest of the ants suffer. And when a CEO hit a strike, s/he would be drown in fame.

I don't know how to explain Pachter anymore. Maybe he just hates Nintendo because so many of his predictions about Wii fell flat. It's just hard to take any analyst seriously when most of his analyses are wrong, and some catastrophically wrong.
