Just goes to show you how broken journalism is today. People complain about video game media, but the "real" media is just as bad if not worse.

That's true, but still, the great majority of articles being posted on the internet are just blog entries written by people who have no real claim to being journalists.  We call them that because we're used to associating the media with journalism but that time is long past.  Now anyone with a place to publish and a keyboard can call themselves part of one media group or another.  Especially now, when spin is certainly more profitable than truth, we need to take everything we read with a pound of salt.  

Yahoo writers really suck though. It is all about the hits. I would disregard any article by them...

Yep. Since the news outlets so often publish these bloger's articles as news stories it has blured the line between them. In a newspaper the sections seperate opinion from news and hard news from fluff. But internet media outlets just post what ever will get them the most hits regardless of if it's newsworthy or even actual news.

I am yet to test Windows 8 but one of my client (not geek) told me that she was going back to windows 7 because windows 8 is too confusing for her.

Surface tablet should do good and I don't see Bing going anywhere.

Those are two words that should never go together. 

Windows 8 definitly has a learning curve. I installed classic shell to get back the Start Button and I havne't used the new Start Screen. The way I use it, it basicly is Windows 7.

You should tell your client to install "classic Shell" or one of the other Start Button apps.

This is about the only rational course of action.

Why did Windows 8 abandon the start button for the tile UI?  I understand that perhaps that setup might do better in a smartphone or tablet but to make people default back classic shell just to get the start menu makes no sense to me.  If anything they should of had it with the tiles on the desktop versions.  Sure desktop is a dying breed but there are still some people that prefer desktop over anything else.  There isn't any reason for me to upgrade to 8.  However, I didn't update to 7 (from XP) till I got a new computer.  I view Windows 8 in the same light as Vista.  I don't need to update.
