Forums - Sony - PS3 is #1 for Netflix Streaming in the Living Room

Ps3 has been number 1 for a while. It isnt that surprising really, microsoft lost their chance to capitalize on the one year exclusive deal because they made you subscribe to gold to access netflix for some reason. One of the stupidest decisions this gen in my opinion...

No actual percentages?

And worldwide? Well ya.....considering Japan.

Xbox 360 is also available in Japan...so yeah, worldwide, for both consoles.

Funny how the PS3 has the largest share of the biggest app on consoles. I'd love to see which console has the highest marketshare for Hulu Plus or Amazon Instatn Video, I bet PS3 takes those too.

Id be more interested in Euro/NA stats. By the way, the link doesnt even say exact stats.

They say that it even at time surpassed the PC, which would lead one to believe that the PC tends to lead above all when it comes to Netflix enabled devices. I wouldn't be surprised if the PS3 leads in NA and EU.

In 2011 it was also said be the most used in the US on PS3. I don't think it has changed.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Netflix isn't even available in Japan.

Wait, hold up. When did Netflix become available in Japan?

Edit:  Beaten!

so PC means laptop too right,i always think of people on desktops like some of us but sure people will use their laptops, that's most common in the house but i'd imagine a lot of people prefer to use the console with the main TV,anyway i know people who have moved on from gaming and only use their PS3's for netflix and movies

the new TV's or sky/BT box or whatever and BLU/DVD players people will buy will replace consoles do you think as they will be doing everything like PC's,the casuals will only need a smart tv for everything next up

                                                                                                                                        Above & Beyond

Who wins in the bedroom?

Anyways, I am not sure this is a thing that one should be proud of. Instead of using Sony made stuff they are using Netflix stuff.
