Horror games don't really scare me, but sometimes it startles me when something unexpected jumps out.

They used to scare me, but lately... not so much. Went back to Silent hill 2 and it just felt silly.

I was mentally forced to play Silent Hill 1 and 3 with the lights on. I was also forced to avoid playing when no one else was in the house. Lastly, i was always constantly looking over my shoulders while playing.

Silent Hill did this to me..

Scared? no I do jump though when something unexpected happens but I wouldn't call that moment scary mostly just unexpected. Heck I have jumped a few times when playing CoD because I didn't expect to be shot from out of no where,but that's just me.

Usually no, they sooner make me laugh, which is fine too.
Siren: blood curse was pretty tense though, but lately horror games are more comedy then scary.
Dark souls had it's scary moments since it's so easy to die.

The problem with most 'horror' games nowadays is, you have too much health, are too powerful, too many checkpoints, too predictable / too much action.

They sure do. At least the good ones. I totally give myself over to the game and invite it to scare me, because that's the point of it after all :)

Horror games scare me wayy more than horror movies. I find them more immersive probably because I have control and I don't want to die and I know that me dying is a possibility.

They scare the s**t out of me. Sometimes in horror game the moment I apreciate the most is when I'm in a safe hub. The moment when I can finaly breath and relax for a few minutes lol.

No. I can't play scary game. That robot in Nintendo Land scared the crap out of me and now I am afraid to come close to the WiiU.

Fatal Frame 1 did it for me. I threw the game away after I completed it because I don't want that evil thing in my house.

Fatal Frame 2 and 3 were scary too but not as scary as Fatal Frame 1.

Fatal Frame 2 had the best story though.

Generaly good horror games to me are creepy like say, silent hill. I don't find those games scary. Just creepy (in a good way).
