After all, this one was an awesome gen. One Console over 100 M and the other two over 80 M and still selling (low and slow, but selling). Both of them could end well over 90 M (or at least pretty close). Especially the PS3, which is the best selling console in some emerging That would mean almost 300 M sold consoles.
PS3 had the biggest turnaround ever which was awesome. I think in the big picture the console was a failure, but it definitely feels like a success (it could have been much worse).
360 surprised everyone and was a huge success, although it may have been much much better (so, it may feel like a small failure). The same happened with the Wii, it was such a success, that its final days felt like a failure.
Overall, I think the biggest success story was the one from the 360. This taking into account the fact that they were going against the (then all-mighty) Playstation. While Nintendo took a completely different route.
I feel that no one should feel bad, because the 3 consoles were successful in their own way. Sony and MS fans should be the happier, as they are witnessing the end of a very successful console generation and the start of one that looks is going to be a success for both.
