you got a point but look at PC games then compare to what the 360 launched with

Maybe it's just my opinion but if I have to launch a console next year it's will be something like...

CPU: Core i5-3320M (without the integrated GPU)
GPU: GTX 680M
RAM: 4GB

I tried to adjust consumption so it did not take all high-end components... the power  consumption for this machine is better than 360 or PS3 at release.

And this would cost how much?

your head your arms and your legs plus selling your soul to the devil

Consumer price is ~$700 but I think for sell a console with these parts is more cheaper... I will put something like $500.

About $800-1000 retail. Maybe $599 if sold at break-even and with the massive orders bringing down CPU cost a lot (Intel has 60% gross margin). It is feasible actually.

we're are most likely looking at 500$ to 700$ dollar console not counting tax or games if what you expect happens

Yeap... that's not the first time we need to buy a $600 console.

wow how lag is this guy,1.6Ghz was for 8 cores version but it just changed.

And Kinect 2?yeah there will be Kinect 2,but MS will just treat it as accessories, because there will be new important thing for nextbox.

did you see the last 3 M$ E3 press conferences the only things important to them is the 360 being a all in one devices and appealing to casuals with kinect

What's past E3 have to do with nextbox?and only Kinect can appealing to casuals?you kidding?

Just to explain... that's just my opinion... I prefer a graphical leap over price.

I think Sony or Microsoft can make a really powerful machine at $500 selling point.

The Wii U is just $400 because the expensive Pad... because all other components are cheap.

but this will be the first console generation where we are in a depression i don't think a lot of people need to buy a 600 dollar console especially familes who will either stick with these current consoles or buy a wii u which cost half as much

The price is just one of the mistakes made by Sony in the begining of this gen and I think it's not the worst mistake... the PS3 have a better launch than 360 or Wii if you account all the first week sales.
