than you said it cost $100 more. i thought you were saying $100 more than the standard xbox. i know think you were saying it cost $100 more than uncharted bundle. yes?

my post was saying uncharted bundle cost $50 more than the standard ps3. i think you thought i was saying $50 more than the gears bundle. 

i hope our confusion is resolved now.

my point was they were both limited edition, and both cost more than the standard console price.

Bingo! That's clearly what I said. You didn't twist my words at all.

Who cares which was selling more? Better question, which sold significantly more around launch at a higher price point? Gears 3. It also had a significant lead before the U3 bundling began. I doubt its a coincidence U3 caught up.

More Gears fans were there at launch. Uncharted fans waited for price cuts and many just had it handed it to them whether they wanted it or not.

The bold was a simple question. Your tone on it is telling, though.

Anyway, who cares which was selling more? Simple, the one that is being hailed as "only ahead because of bundles" was already ahead weekly before it was bundled to any significant degree. I know Gears 3 is more popular, in fact, that was never my argument, but the double standards cannot be ignored.

Just because U3 was selling more on a weekly basis doesn't mean it was going to surpass Gears 3 anytime soon.

Red Dead Redemption on PS3 may eventually pass the 360 version because it sells more weekly. However, its already taken years for this to happen. UC3 managed to a close the Gears 3 gap of about a million in just a few months.

Explain the double standard. I'm not touting the sales of a massively bundled game (or series).

Why are people even arguing about bundles?

Its a popular game that got bundled to make PS3 more enticing to the customer.

Who gives a shit? People chose to buy the Uncharted bundle. They werent forced to. Same with 95% of all other games bundled.

samething could be said for every bundled game, show me a bundleled game with out impressive sales. even LBP managed 5 million units, nothing is wong with it but its hardly a way to prove one franshise is more populer then the other, when being mass bundled is a huge advantage.

But, again, who in here said Uncharted 3 was more popular than Gears 3? If I get no repsonse, it means it is a BS claim and a means for some looking to start an issue out of nothing.
