The man that wrote that article says 2013. No such quote is made from SONY's UK boss. A price cut could very well happen next year, but it has never been confirmed/announced as of this point. Just that one will happen and not this year.

If you can find the AC bundle deal for $179.99 honestly go for it, but I think those were for Black Friday only.

If not, I would wait until next year for the inevitable official price slashing to begin. There probably will be a model revision next year too. 

With the free games that are released on a regular basis with PS+ it's likely best to purchase future Sony consoles as soon as possible. Right now if you purchased a Vita you would get two of the best games for the system (Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Gravity Daze) for free. If you already have PS+ for the PS3 you'll be getting games for a subscription you already have and I imagine it will continue to get better when they PS4 arrives as you would have three systems covered under the same subscription.

I should of probably waited until GT/GTA as well and just got Uncharted or whatever for cheap... I regret buying so early.

That's cool. PS+ is a great for new Vita owners though. If you like Persona 4, maybe you can pick up Golden later on for cheap and enjoy the extra content and online.

I'm expecting the price cut between March and September. If you're lucky (if we're all lucky) memory cards will drop along with it so even outside of bundles it won't break your wallet.

Memory Cards better drop.  That is my biggest complaint about the Vita.  and yeah when I get the vita if I like the PS2 version ill pick it up to support the company.
