*Do this with your first piece of TP*

1) Grab toilet paper

2) Reach over to faucet

3) turn faucet on and get paper wet (but not so wet that it becomes completely limp)

4) Wipe your ass

5) Profit!

That's right, I figured out what the "4) ?????" step is.

I've always used nothing but toilet paper, thinking it would be a shame if they kept cutting down all these trees for nothing.

That method works pretty decent for a private restroom.  However, most public restrooms you can't go to the sink to put water on the paper.  Pretty much you are almost screwed if you use a public restroom in USA.  I remember the toilet paper at my previous job tearing up my butt due to being industrial toilet paper.  I believe it was single ply which didn't help but I would just roll it up in a big bunch just to provide ample wiping.  Only good thing was that the toilet seemed to be able to flush almost any amount of paper.

Oh man, I never ever use public restrooms. Ever since I was a a kid, I've always done my best to make sure I never end up in those situations or am able to "hold it." I hate public restrooms. x.x You've got a point there.

Just wipe! It aint difficult.

It's not really a bidet. We do have bidets, but we have something like a mini shower head which you can use while you're sitting down. And yes toilet paper as well!

Wow, sounds like you have a lot more options available.  I wonder why bidets/ water splashers never caught on in the USA...  I'm almost jealous of Europeans right now.

England don't have it though. Worst year of me life when it comes to pooing

Ah yea that was going to be another of my questions.  Which countries use the bidet and which ones don't in Europe.  I wonder why England doesn't offer the water solution?  I suppose most of mainland Europe uses the bidet?

I'm actually Lebanese :P I just live in England now

Man, I feel stupid after typing this. Anyways:

Both. Paper to ensure that you haven't missed anything big, bidet to get rid of smears.

If I had to choose only one, I would use paper in almost all situations, except if I had diarrhea or something pretty close.

... Yup. That was my most awkward post ever.

Lol, I thought the OP title said BIDEN vs Toilet Paper, and I thought this was going to be either some smart ass thread about politics, or some thread about crazy uncle Biden bursting through a toilet paper wall.
