i can only speak for myself but

1 - 32 Gb is a joke.   really bad joke at that.  i'd get a minimum of 500 Gb external so 32 vs. 8 is the difference between terrible and really terrible.

2 - not my bag, don't want it at any price.

3 - meh.  i'm indifferent personally.

4 - i can get that but there aren't that many games on e-shop yet.  how much would you save if you bought the entire catalog of games?

Well, at this point, I have a 500GB external HDD and a 32GB Wii U and.....I have absolutely no idea what to use it for.  I got Mighty Switch Force downloaded from the eShop and that's it.  There's no movie service, no place to store pics, no music service, no option for game installs, no DLC (to my knowledge--and I even have Call of Duty), and my Wii library is stored on the SD card that I used with my original Wii.

My original 20GB Xbox 360 lasted a full year (with only 16GB useable of that 20GB!) and you KNOW I'm a download fanatic.  32GB will probably last me for a long time.  Many other gamers, too.  I'm just saying.

I think your 4th post kinda confirms it.

i'd agree with this.  i saw wiiU in 3/5 store visits i've done but to date i've only seen the basic version.  personally i don't get the difference...the deluxe saves a bit of coin if you wanted nintendoland but not a lot.

There are some good reasons to get the deluxe version.

1 - It has bigger flash memory (32GB) than the white one (that after the first update has less than 3GB)

2 - It has nintendo land $10 cheaper

3 - it is black

4 - And the most important, the deluxe version has a 10% "refund" system for all games buyed on e-shop before december 2014

 I agree.

I will finally buy a PS3 for 250€ with tho games offered ( uncharted 2 and gran turismo ), so yes 32Go is a fucking joke for 330€, but its like apple, people will always buy, no matter what is in, because it said "nintendo"

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

I wasn't saying that those were good reasons for you, just good reasons for other people.

1 - I never said that 32GB were a good amount, but it is better than  8GB

2 and 3 are here just to remember that both are reasons for someone to choose, i know you are not one of them, but there are A LOT of people that would care about those reasons

4 - This goes until december 2014, not 2012. seriously you don't think this is a good deal!!!?

You asked the difference and i gave you 4, it doesn't matter if you don't care to them

Just checked walmart.com and the walmart in my town and the one that is 15 minutes away both have Wii Us in stock. I am really tempted to buy one, but I don't know because I have spent quite a bit of money on games for my ps3. But the more I look at it and read about it, the more I want one.

I saw 3-4 basic white U's at my local Target, still haven't seen any deluxe black consoles anywhere.

Ummm. These people need to think outside of the box. Went to Walmart last night and they had 2 deluxe and 1 basic. I bet if people hunt around a bit more they'd find them at ToysRUs and Target as well. Obviously not everywhere, but there are some here and there.

I would definitely tell people to check the non-gaming stores.  The Walmart by me had 2 basic and 2 deluxe a few days ago.  Yesterday both they and Target were sold out though.

I would think that a persistent shopper would be able to get one by Christmas.  Whereas I couldn't find a Wii until mid-January if I recall correctly.  I do remember even standing in a small line (about 5 people) at around 11 PM or midnight in a Walmart to get it.

The wii U is out right now, is it particularly hard to find?

Considering it is the Holiday Season and everyone is clambering for one, I would think at least somewhat.

You're absolutely correct! Because when people see the name Nintendo, they know what they are getting.

Just got a new one at an FYE store. they just had a black one in stock and said they ahve an empty waiting list with no one on it because ppl don't realize they carry video games because they just don't have that reputation not having the word "game" and all in their title.
