If Wii U had come out in 2006 with HD graphics and the WiiMotionPlus + Nunchuk (no Gamepad), I think it would never have died down like it did but I don't know that the start would have been any less glorious.
Would they have had MiiVerse back then... oh man. Perhaps people would recognize MiiVerse more than they recognize Facebook and Twitter by name.
