First off, I think the title is awesome! I adore that Bugs Bunny line, and use it occasionally in my speech (but sadly few people get the reference.)

But as I said in another thread. I could see Sony bring their "PlayStation' brand to PC/Xbox/Nintendo/the other ones coming hardware and leaving the manufacturing business. They could be a great third party, like Activision was when it started out on the Atari 2600.

It was sad and shocking a few years ago when I was shopping for TV and noticed that Samsung had a better picture than Sony's (and at a better price.) They used to be the defacto highest quality TV. They blew through so much money on the Blu-ray war that it really hurt the company.

I love bugs bunny too, so kudos.

Fun question to the PS fans. What happens if Sony starts making their games exclusive to either Nintendo or Microsoft. What then?

I would spend that PS4 money on the Wii U and PC upgrades. Or on the next Xbox if it really blows me away. Assuming the PS4 is going to be a great system, cause if not I'll do this anyway and buy it late in the cycle.

To answer just a few questions posed. I wanted to keep the title whimsical, innocuous, and non threatening. Given the subject matter I thought keeping it light, and not making it terribly obvious. Probably discouraged some or this sites more colorful posters. It was a tradeoff really. I wanted enough to have a decent discussion, but not so much as to turn the thread into a three ring circus.

The last option is equal parts concession, and statistical analysis. I am sure I would have heard about it had there not been that option, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't provide meaningful data. It gives us a good base line in regards to brand optimism. There is nothing to say that a poll can't actually answer two questions. As for the tag on the option. Sure it is a little juvenile, but like I said above I wanted to keep the thread whimsical.

As for not providing a option for seeing the results. Yeah that was a total failure on my part. I will keep it in mind for the next time I create a thread with a poll.

Anyway I think the responses have been pretty cordial, and the poll doesn't appear to be getting tampered with. So on the whole I have gotten what I wanted. Sometimes my conscience gets to bothering me, but not this time.

I would wait for 3D Mario, Zelda or Metroid to release, and then pick the console it goes to.

We see it differently. Never say never, it happens, and happened before. It's a very tough market overall, the survivors are achievers.

at present i don't really like how microsoft and nintendo are doing things so i'd probably use some other alternative

edit : even though presently i really enjoy my ps3 and enjoyed my ps2, initially i started out on n64 at my firend's house and eventually went up to gamecube then to ps2
