Forums - Sales Discussion - Is 360 still experiencing sellouts?

A check of Best Buy.com, Circuit City.com, Amazon.com. and Gamestop.com revealed 360 is still apparently having supply issues. In many cases one or more SKU was not available.

At Amazon, the Elite is currently not in stock but only available from resellers.

At Gamestop, only the pro is available for online order, but checking store availability (put in your zip code and 100 mile radius) revealed virtually all models appear to be completely sold out at brick and mortar locations.

At Best Buy the Elite is sold out as well. Pro and Arcade are available online, but store pickup is not an option for Pro and Elite, an indication I would think of tight supply.

Circuit City was sold out of Pro online, I didn't check other models.

This is an online check only, I haven't been to brick and mortars lately.

It is pretty impressive (or bad for MS manufactoring department) that 360 is still experiencing some shortages on Jan 21.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

It's not sold out everywhere, but there are some shortages.

Go to Gamestop.com and do what I said, see for yourself. I checked 360 pro and only one location out of about 20 had any, all others showed 0. Then I checked PS3 and every location had 1-4. So the system isn't broken or anything.

As I say, it's not sold out everywhere, and I agree if you're willing to look around you can find one at brick and mortar, but there are still spot shortages particularly on the Elite sku but even the Pro.

This makes me think 360 might have a big February as supply fully catches up (assuming that even happens).

Elites are selling for a $75 premium from resellers at amazon. Amazon themselves is sold out.

I'm from a bit farther south in Indiana, Indy area wii's are always out of stock. Ps3's always a huge pile. 360's aren't hard to find either, but they sell a bit better.

Up here in the Toronto Canada area I know some stores had sold out of Eiltes and even the regular 360s (arcade isn't popular) over Christmas. But they are coming back in stock now.

Some versions in some places, but generally; no.

Plenty of all (aside from the wii ;) ) here in So-cal, local best buy and Fry's has stockpiles of all 360 models, and 80 and 40g ps3s :P

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

No there is a ton of 360's and ps3's, here;s the wierd thing there are wii's at my local best buy I will take picture when I go again.
