Forums - Gaming - No Talk About Wonderbook?

Surprised nobody brought it up, unless I missed it.

Currently at a 72, so at least its in some realm of quality. Was it what you expected?

How dare you talk about what will only be remembered as a Sony E3 time sink! PS3 owners are probably under the impression that it sucks and don't care enough to look it up. I for one forgot it even existed until you brought it up.

Is it better than your average kinect game?

"Excuse me sir, I see you have a weapon. Why don't you put it down and let's settle this like gentlemen"  ~ max

I'm not sure it's aimed at the type of people who visit internet forums, so you might be hard pressed finding someone to discuss it with here.

Eh, no talk about it cause it's not for me. It looks reasonably well made, and it should be a lot of fun for the younger set. Honestly, it would have probably been a really hot holiday season toy if it was a standalone thing that parents could buy without a PS3.

It's a children's game. There ain't no children here!*

Anyway, that metascore is pretty great considering the type of game it is.

*Apart from Ninpie

Oh yeah, and adverts for this are being plastered all over UK TV. Looks like Sony are going after some of the Wii's market (family Christmas style games)

The only thing that I have so far heard about Wonderbook was an article about it that I read in one of germany's most important newpapers:
http://www.zeit.de/digital/games/2012-11/sony-wonderbook-harry-potter

The article is almost enthusiastic about it, saying that it's the best augmented reality software they have ever seen, and the only criticism they have is the absent multiplayer-mode. They say this kind of software has a huge potential, especially in the field of playful knowledge transfer.

But that was the absolutely only thing I've so far heard about it. Haven't even seen a single commercial/ad.
