So... please, somebdy tell me, do you think the Wii-U will eventually get GTA V?

Much as i like to rag on Take Two/Rockstar (and i very much do), i'd say it's likely in the form of a "Game of the Year" edition, probably in time for the holidays, with the first round of DLC included.

Rockstar recently said that GTA V was conceived for this generation, not for the next. So if the WiiU has no next generation hardware, I don't see why we should see a multiplatform simultaneous release.

Or is it jus because it is a Nintendo console?

If not, then the Wii U is truly a next gen tech wise console. So in that case... it should be "too good" for GTA V. What would Rockstar reason/excuse be not to develop a port for Nintendo's console? I wonder...

And they are going to be losing money on each console sold Lmao!

The Wii U is using DDR3-800 ram in the system. Basically Intel Nehalem used this back in 2007 for system CPU not for video.Do you expect the likes of Unreal engine 3 to be recoded for a CPU and video ram that's slower than 7 year old consoles? This means the Wii U has half the ram of the 360.

Actually, it's DDR3-1600 which runs at 800 Mhz.

If you don't even know the difference between DDR3-800 and DDR3-1600, can you please stop talking about what it means for game engines?

The rEVOLution is not being televised

so just we can be clear, when you say next gen tech, you are not counting the PC right?

I mean, will it be able to produce graphics and effects that can't be replicated on the ps3/360?

oh, if it's able to do things that has the same effects as a DX11 class card, then absolutely, we don't know though :P

I honestly don't know...

no reason why it shouldn't is there

There is one:

ENVY by 3rd parties of Nintendo's game sale success.

No, it's much more recent technology, but NIntendo only had $150 to work with (Gamepad is the rest). Even the die-shrunk Xbox 360 is still $200, so it's not surprising that Nintendo ended up with 360-like performance for a 360-like price.

Nintendo also prioritises low power consumption, size and heat, which are tradeoffs with performance compared to the current gen as well. Wii U will consume much less at load than a 360.

If the CONSOLE (minus Gamepad) was allowed to be $300-400 and consume power like a launch PS3 did, we'd see what we'll get with a PS4 or 720.

I think it is using tech comparable to current gen, but that's okay. I'm still really enjoying my Wii U.
