NO. IN MY OPINION WHITOUR nintendo the gaming industry is over. Nintendo is the one balancing he equation. By themselves, MS and Sony would make the entire industry to colapse. Imagin just games dedicated to "hardcore" gamers, it would be a disaster. Now, the only thing Nintendo needs to get back is the third party support. Don't agree with you, Wii pushed the boundaries of this generation by expanding their user base. If you think 96million+64million+61million from the Three Big is not conincidence, Wii make it possible. Games shoul never be developed to be blockbuster movies, they should be developed to be fun and creative.

I agree to some degree. Nintendo this gen has provided casuals a reason to enter in the gaming space and that's a good thing. I don't see how MS and Sony would make the industry colapse, this doesn't make sense actualy, last gen Nintendo was virtualy absent and gaming was doing well (thanks to Sony, yes... ).
Blockbuster movie level games have their place as much as other games in my opinion. In fact it's healthy for the industry to have blockbusters. There are so many different types of gamers it's a very interresting business now. Fun and creative games wouldn't push gaming where it is now, it's a combination of everything. Nintendo alone didn't made the industry what it is, every company had it's moment of glory and we all benefit from it.
Why I think Nintendo should exit the hardware space is mainly because of what it's becoming. It's not solely about games anymore but more about entertainment. People want to have access to as many services as possible on every one of their devices. Gaming is becoming a service just like movies and music are becoming. You have this box that plays you music, movies, games and all and all this in your living room. Nintendo would benefit greatly from becoming a service more than a hardware maker with services on it.
