Forums - Sony Discussion - Final Fantasy Type-0 - Localization almost done! (but still a rumor and there's a catch...)

Sony should really care more about third parties, but all they are interested nowadays is giving away games for free to sell more memory cards.

Games that you pay for aren't free. You are such a ridiculous Sony fanboy, Rol.

yeah... hype is bad but we never learn we'll never learn

and how exactly are we supposed to show them we want it when they don't listen? I'm not going to sign up for facebook/twitter and spam them all day. If they can't see that people want this game, then they are clearly fools.

We should start a new operation... @justlearnjapanesecauseitsfasterandeasierthenwaitforsquareenix..

Still working on that name...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Neogaf is saying that it is rumored to be mult-handheld game that will be on the 3ds and vita.

P4G's preorders are quite obviously overtracked.

I'm sure they are.  Do you believe they are overtracked by 50k, though?  Because that's how much the second most pre-oredered Vita game this holiday reached (hence my comment).

10k seems likely.  20k seems possible.  50k seems highly improbable.

If your source for the overtracking is Ben, then he is not the gospel for overtracking.  If a game is undertracked, he can call it - because Gamestop alone will have more pre-orders than are listed here, so it is a certainty.  There is more difficulty in him calling something overtracked, because Gamestop is not the only videogame seller in the USA.

Oo, he knows Nolan North

I don't understand their logic behind this. Yeah Parasite Eve, and Dissidia Duodecim didn't sell that great, but they didn't market them at all. Also a fighting game and a parasite eve were never going to be big sellers. However an RPG that's similar to old school final fantasies would be.

Honestly...I wouldn't be surprised. VGC has P4 at over 300k in NA. Atlus released their figures like a year or two ago and P4 only sold 110k. P4 Arena, though it's a fighting game, sold around 50k for its first month between the PS3 and 360. The way the preorders are looking it looks like P4G will obliterate both games in sales in just the first week. And that's just not very realistic.

VGC overtracks like every JRPG though. I don't know if the difference will be as drastic as 50k, but I can guarantee you there will be a discrepancy between NPD numbers and VGC preorders.

Well, you look like you've been following these numbers more than me.  I'll take your word for it.

The point I was trying to make was that a JRPG is a more desired game on handhelds than console-esque experiences like Assassin's Creed & Call of Duty, though I guess I didn't make it very well.

unless they do a PSP remaster for PS3 just port it to 3DS. SONY has no handheld ground in the west currently.
