It IS Far Cry! Far Cry Instincts, to be precise. And sadly, it was made into a movie in Germany.

It IS Far Cry! Far Cry Instincts, to be precise. And sadly, it was made into a movie in Germany.

46 was Call Of Duty: Black Ops (Wii), and 45 was Grand Theft Auto III.

44 will be a title where the main character has been around for far longer than video games.

An incredibly misleading journey through the stories of the Kojiki and the Nihongi, founding mythological stories of Japan. Despite vast theological inaccuracy and the games often-repetitive combat, this game ends up being endlessly charming between its mythic art style and Zelda-esque characters and the wide variety of techniques you are given to make the repetitive combat somewhat thought-provoking.

Number 44, a controversial launch title of the 6th generation, it's franchise's first proper foray into 3D, the sections with a cat were especially disliked.

Yep! Castle of Illusion was a good answer and may be making the list as well...

 

I was hoping the sequel would improve things; early reviews don't suggest that though...
