I was the only person I knew that owned the game though. Everyone had played Soul Reaver but when I mentioned Blood Omen they would all say "What's that then?", lol.

I was shocked because a lot of people  don't know this game despite it being the first in the series. Similar story. We have a private owned game shop down the street from where I live. All classic original oldy consoles and games n' stuff. When I told the guy I was looking for the original Legacy of Kain, he handed me Soul Reaver. I was like, "that's not the first one" He looked at me like I was crazy when I told him Blood  Omen was the first game in the series.

38. This game almost wasn't localized outside of Japan because Nintendo thought no one would be interested. Good thing NoA changed their mind. Fairly old game. A Spinoff franchise featuring Mario. This game was so popular that it actually got Nintendo to localize more traditionally Japan only franchises. It's a game I'm confident everyone who reads this has played.
