They really didn't have much of choice. The demand higher than they anticipated,so they had to compensate by putting it on the eshop. It was either that or risk losing sales because they couldn't release enough supply.

I know that, but I'm just saying...
Monster Hunter 3G and Animal Crossing will have the same problem. The point was, eShop will make weekly charts a little less interesting for Ninty software from now on.
Calling someone a jerkface is an offense though.. and that's against the forum rules.. even if it doesn't offend the original target..some 2nd hand people may be offended by that comment just by looking at it..
also posting off topic can get you banned as well =/
OT: Great sales..

Yeah... this thing is gonna explode.

No, they just replaced the models at the same price points. I guess they are a slightly better value as the old slims were 160gb/320gb and the new ones are 250gb/500gb at the same price.(25,000 yen/30,000 yen) As long as you don't mind the look of the new one.
starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."
Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"
This should go in the OP.

Top 50
3DS - 16
PS3 - 14
PSP - 8
WII - 7
360 - 2
PSV - 2
NDS - 1
It was already confirmed that 3DS's Little Battlers Xperience Baku Boost will outsell LT sales of PSP and Vita combined sales of the sequel... but I never expected it to outsell in the top 50. Vita version already below it and PSP version will drop below it soon too - 3DS gained 9 positions like a boss.
This is already another "confirmed" 3DS game next year.
Why would Nintendo only ship 500k copies? I know it's available on eShop, but still.
NG:
"First day sell through for other titles
Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires - 50%
Halo 4 - 50-60%
Silent Hill: Downpour - 30%"
Oh, yeah, I forgot about Halo 4 on my pic-list, I'll add later.

Does that include Bundles and Download Cards?
