Coming from a country (Australia)  that recently denied gays/lesbians the right to marry  again, I can't say I'm in the strongest position to judge other countries laws, but that honestly is just too dumb and ridicilious for my comphrehension!

Makes me wonder how many more years until shit in the world actually makes sense and is fair. :/

As a fellow Australian, that shit was a disgrace. What we need to do is kick out all those bigoted old farts with their obsolete politics who make up the vast bulk of the  government.

Did the people get to vote on the issue?

No. More than 60% of Australians support gay marriage, but it was decided by a vote by the parliament, (about 60-70% of whom voted against it) not by the people. Some democracy...

Even tho i don't support ruining the most sacred traditions and customs, i think people should always decide on what laws their country should have

Which is why it's best to legalize it and restrict it to younger people (minors). Only adults can use it since by the time your an adult, your body is already fully devloped. But that might be a subject of debate when it comes to adults as young as 21. Plus I heard a number of times about that questionable argument about cannabis having more cancerous tar than tobacco. If that were true cancers should've shown up by now after 30-40+ years.

Things will improve with these new bills. Hopefully cannabis use among  minors and the transition to harder drugs will drop significantly in these two states.

Well tar is one thing and nicotine is other... it's about an alcaloid with strong addictive power (although you literally die if you come in contact with pure nicotine) instead of the lookalike of a crude oil product. It's mostly due to the lack of a filter though.

The thing I fear is, the same way teenagers still manage to get drunk here and there they could start getting marijuana with the same ease and with it falling for it's addictive potential. I could be wrong though, I don't know. Perhaps young people in these two states are smarter than I'm giving them credit.

We aren't. But then again here in Boulder we already smoke like we drink-a lot!

- It gives the state more of your money. Obviously, marijuana is going to be highly taxed (I believe the Washington bill has a 25% tax at manufacturer, wholesale, and retail), and that money's just going to go into welfare programs and enforcing all those unjust laws.

That must be the most bizarre criticism I've ever heard. Yes, with such laws, the state is going to earn more taxes, and yes, that money will also go into things like school construction, welfare programs etc. But since when is that a bad thing? So far, the very same money went to drug cartels etc. instead. Do you seriously prefer that?

Probably one of the best arguments I have ever heard.  People seem to not know that when marijuana is legalized it's use usually goes down!  So people are already smoking and doing their jobs, living their lives, etc.  Now they can do the same, but they will not be commenting crimes and supporting gangs, and putting so many people that would be otherwise productive by sending them to prison.

I can personally count on one hand, the number of times I have had coffee.  I can’t stand it personally, but I don’t think it would benefit society by making it illegal.  I know people love it, use it, and can still be productive.  Sure, it has some bad qualities, but who am I to decide what people do with their bodies?  I only have authority over my own.

I leave near the Mexican border, and there are so more horrific murders committed their than Afghanistan and Iraq combined – and those are war zones.  I want those to stop.

Sure drugs can be abused, but criminal profiteering is much more dangerous in my opinion.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Marijuana is less lethal to your health than cigarettes and alcohol, so I always thought it was stupid to make it ilegal.

It does the same thing to you that cigeratettes do but it targets the brain and causes diseases in the brain.  Pot heads rejoice but all in honesty it's not good for you no matter how you slice it.  Now people can be dumb legally, whatever. Alchahol, smoking, and marijuana should all be illegal in my opinion.

I am going to skip the misinformation about Marijuana and not talk about how it can treat certain kinds of cancer, MS, pain relief, but ask you other questions.

Would you also be in favor of outlawing White Bread and Tylenol?

White Bread service virtually no nutritional value but fattening people up for if an alien invasion happened and people become food. We have so many obese people in this country (USA) – and if we took white bread away, we could save so much money on health care, scooters, extra seats on airplanes, etc. and have a healthier population.

Tylenol – do you have any idea how dangerous this stuff is?  I cause liver damage, and is so easy to overdose.  And when you overdose the damage is often permanent – and you need a liver transplant.  If it would going through the FDA today I do not think it would be approved.

What else would you like to outlaw?
