Which is why it's best to legalize it and restrict it to younger people (minors). Only adults can use it since by the time your an adult, your body is already fully devloped. But that might be a subject of debate when it comes to adults as young as 21. Plus I heard a number of times about that questionable argument about cannabis having more cancerous tar than tobacco. If that were true cancers should've shown up by now after 30-40+ years.

Things will improve with these new bills. Hopefully cannabis use among  minors and the transition to harder drugs will drop significantly in these two states.

Well tar is one thing and nicotine is other... it's about an alcaloid with strong addictive power (although you literally die if you come in contact with pure nicotine) instead of the lookalike of a crude oil product. It's mostly due to the lack of a filter though.

The thing I fear is, the same way teenagers still manage to get drunk here and there they could start getting marijuana with the same ease and with it falling for it's addictive potential. I could be wrong though, I don't know. Perhaps young people in these two states are smarter than I'm giving them credit.

We aren't. But then again here in Boulder we already smoke like we drink-a lot!
