Wont be hard beating the mess that is AC3 :|

With that said, I played Absolution at a game convention just a few days ago and I didnt really like it all too much. It was just like a prolouge or something. ..Some chick in the shower and then the demo ended :P. Anyway, all I pretty much did was run straight forward and strangle/break necks/smash heads in with stuff whereas others who played were much slower and acted all "im so pro" LOL. Was a demo though im sure its not that easy haha, but I didnt exactly love it. Felt a bit meh.

Sorry.  I don't know what came over me.  I was just blinded by rage or something.  My apologies.

The "Assassin" in Assassin's Creed does not mean "silent killer".

It means "one who belongs to the Assassin Brotherhood", which in turn means believing that La shay' haqiqah, koulo shay' moumkin, or Nothing is an absolute reality, all is permitted.

It is thus completely unfair to compare an Assassin Brother to an actual hitman like Agent 47, because the Brotherhood has never been an organisation of hitmen. It is motivated by ideology, not money.

So, in short, by that definition of assassin, of course Hitman is a better assassination game than Assassin's Creed, because Assassin's Creed is not an assassination game.

What's there to say? Yes, Hitman is a better Assassin game than Assassin's Creed, but which is the better game?

Assassin's Creed games have several serious flaws but I still love them and enjoy them so much.

I believe Hitman too will get around 85% on Meta but that I personally will love ACIII more.

nice article.

given the time periods i'd say they are equal. you have to base the time period of both games when weighing a topic like this.

I thought you would have a rebuttal since you've been pretty consistent in your Assassin's Creed > Hitman propoganda.

Hitman is a better hitman game than Assassin's Creed.
Assassin's Creed is a better hitman management simulation than Hitman.

Personally I'm not a fan of assassination games, or games that require a lot of stealth, yet I'm a big Assassins Creed fan. I remember playing a demo for one of the Hitman games back on the PS2, and I just couldn't get into it. I remember back then if I was playing a game and it decided to go all 'stealthy' I would get pissed off, I just hated having to be 'stealthy', maybe it was due to a lack of patience as a kid. Assassins Creed changed that, well ACII to be precise, it had a real good mix of stealth and action. The setting, the story, and the characters all just appealed to me from the get go, and I never felt that they were going overboard with the stealth aspects, all round I just loved it.

Hitman: Absolution does look like a good game. Is it like a hardcore stealth game that's very strict, or is it a little more lenient like AC in terms of, yes, there's stealth aspects, but there's that freedom in regards to it not all being stealth.

Hitman: Absolution encourages you to play the stealth route to get the highest rating, but you can still go gun-blazing if you want to. It's not really like certain aspects are stealth and certain aspects are action. It's up to you. You can play the entire game using stealth, or you can play the entire game like using action. Or you could use stealth and settle for action when it gets to difficult.

Damn! That sounds really enticing. I may actually get this game now.

Well the Hitman franchise was created in a time when gameplay still mattered, while AC franchise was made in a time when being able to see the eyelashes on a person face, view distance and catchy music in ads matter.
