The "Assassin" in Assassin's Creed does not mean "silent killer".

It means "one who belongs to the Assassin Brotherhood", which in turn means believing that La shay' haqiqah, koulo shay' moumkin, or Nothing is an absolute reality, all is permitted.

It is thus completely unfair to compare an Assassin Brother to an actual hitman like Agent 47, because the Brotherhood has never been an organisation of hitmen. It is motivated by ideology, not money.

So, in short, by that definition of assassin, of course Hitman is a better assassination game than Assassin's Creed, because Assassin's Creed is not an assassination game.
