Nolan will make Superman cool, don't worry.

- Green Lantern looks like a cheap Christmas decoration.

- I think Thor is one of the lamest heroes ever.

- Robin is a clown.

- Normally, women tend to be incredibly useless.

The whole "Superman is too strong argument" is such an uninformed statement and pretty much confirms that someone knows nothing about the character.

Anyway, in my opinion it's Spider-Man. Well, the Spider-Man of the past 30 or so years. That character has literally done everything he possible can and he's now an adult who behaves like a freshman in high school. He's annoying, whiney and has never grown up. I've been saying for years that Marvel needs to kill off Peter Parker and let a new actually interesting character take up the mantel.

The Hulk, i just never got to like him, i think it's dull.

Superman, by a mile. I dislike him in pretty much every regard. How is a superhero who should always win even remotely interesting or compelling? He's a remnant of a different time, a different way of thinking. He's supposed to be perfect, which I don't find engaging at all. He's like some kind of indestructible plastic.

Honestly, give me a character that has to overcome substantial obstacles, either external or internal, preferably both. I have so much more respect for those that win despite the odds or their own personal demons.

Captain America. i dont really understand what he does thats so amazing. in the film hes a bit stronger and faster than your average human, but he can be killed by bullets, he cant fly and he doesnt have any real powers...

hulk, superman and thor are in a league of their own

You non-comics fans and your opinions formed by popular media. Hmmpf!

Am I the only Superman fan?

I never liked Superman, he's boring, he can do everything and the whole planet and cryptonite thing is lame for me.
His costume sucks, i mean really, underwear at the outside?
And he has the worst disguise ever.
At first he wears glasses, then he takes them off and puts a small curl under his hair and BOOM!
Unnoticeable!

That's an interesting point and mostly true.  I think manga, however, has proven that females can make excellent lead characters, so the blame for this has to rest elsewhere.

Chris Claremont was probably one of the first to create viable female superhero characters with the X-Men, which remains one of the best series at utilizing them well, but female characters have been a failure in most other regards, though Witchblade and a few others became popular mostly by playing up the cheesecake aspect.   Some very interesting things were done with Batgirl, however, and a few others, and Magik with the X-Men is still one of my favorite characters ever.

Captain America is just so boring.
