Forums - Nintendo - Harvest Moon: A New Beggining - Review embargo lifted! (great score from IGN!)

Seems like the art style really took a dive with this one. Every screen I've seen is pretty terrible. I wish they'd go back to the Friends of Mineral Town look.

Still, I'm glad to see a great review for a series I love a lot. Harvest Moon is a pretty cool guy. eh plants onoins and doesnt afraid of marriage.

There wasn't any embargo lul

It just seems like no one cares to review it.

But it looks like one of the best Harvest Moon game and I love that series so I'm interested!

Agreed. I like the setting, and even some animals (the old cow is better though) but the characters look more generic now - they're taller and less chubby.

Hopefully there's some options to make them look funny or ridiculous, preferably both.

In video it works a little better though, imo.

Yeah, it does a bit. Those deviantart character portraits, though... ack!

Is this the firts Harvest Moon for the 3ds?, because I thought that I saw another Harvest Moon release for the 3DS and DS here in Europe, called A Tale of Two Towns.

Find the nearest copy of that game, then commence with treating it like the plague.

This is the first Harvet Moon for the 3DS. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

i have only played the N64 HM, and i liked it, but i didnt put much time on it, i think ill give this a try

I have A Tale of Two Towns on the 3DS. I'm enjoying it so far. Unfortunately, I'm a little late with the Harvest Moon series. It's one of those games I've been meaning to buy since the late 90's, but never got around to doing it. There's a lot I need to catch up on. It's good to hear that this latest installment is good.

As for Animal Crossing (since a lot of people seem to be bringing it up), it's hard to compare it to Harvest Moon. However, it seems like the latest Animal Crossing game will play like a mix between an Animal Crossing game and a Sim City game.

It looks awesome. I'll definitely be getting it.
