This is because Nintendo is one of the few developers in the world that can sell beastly in all 3 major regions. Only others I can think of are some Square Enix games, and Sony games.

That's a lof of software. I think Nintendo has been the top publisher for all three major regions for about 4 months now. The long streak was broken by Halo-September.... before that.
