For what i can understand the Xbox fans are those buying more and they barely talk but when we see sales for Halo or Gears or others game they sell like hotcakes.

I guess Xbox Gamers dont like Forums, like Pc elitist they play the games they like and they dont care about reviewers and stuff...

Sony Fans look like the oposite.

As for Nintendo i dont know its pretty heavy in Japan and we dont have much Japanese people in Western forums.

hmm japanese are not known to post in american/european forums so that is one reason why not every second 3ds owner is posting in these forums.

but overall playstation fans really post a lot on vgc if you imagine that most here come from usa or uk which were both not the biggest playstation system fans the last years.

the most simple reason is that m.u.g.e.n. or someone else is posting a lot in the vita thread and with every post there will be some other who post in it then because it is on top of the hot topics then.

the halo thread could be extremely huge if we would have only a few more halo fans just because of nsanity's awesome work there. everytime he posts he get few replies, just imagine 10 more halo fans hete on vgc^^

Actually the 3DS only had like a 9 month head start on the Vita, which officially launched Dec 2011 in Japan (the Vita and PSP's biggest market). 

The Vita thread is huge because of MUGEN and others who continuously contribute to that thread; also unlike most other topics it is observed that vita stuff is strictly discussed in that thread instead of opening a new thread for it, which increases the discussion in that thread.

It's a very well made thread, and deserves the nos. of posts it gets. That is not an indication of the no. of vita fans though - it's like comparing sales in amazon to the rest of the world.

It's just more exciting in the Vita thread. You should join us. I'm a bigger Nintendo fan than I am a Sony fan but in the Vita thread, there's conversation, there's humor, and it's just fun to be a part of. The Nintendo threads I'm in (3DS Community and Nintendo News thread) are kinda boring and sterile. I can't remember the last time I posted in one.

Blame it on the members of the thread and not the companies.

--And one more thing I like about that Vita thread:  Almost nobody comes in and talks badly about the competition.  For the most part, we just talk about the Vita and there is no flaming.  Vita guys don't talk shit about the 3DS.  3DS guys don't invade and talk shit about the Vita.  I hate to say it but it may just be the best thread on VGChartz.

Certainly something we can all aspire to and not worry about who has more fans on which site for the 100th time.

I see. Thanks for explaining. First I would like to point out that I am a Vita owner, and probably a lot of the sony fans here also have one Im sure. Also, I think us sony fans are naturally optimistic since this has been a disappointing gen for us in general and we always like to hype up and come up with new stuff to talk about. Thirdly, I think most sony fans tend to focus on their own hardware i.e. ps3 and vita and make threads/post on threads regarding those while I think nintendo fans tend to focus/post/make threads for the other consoles as well. I mean I personally may have posted on nintendo discussion but only a few times ) and  I think its the same for most sony fans here. However - there always seem to be a lot of nintendo guys posting on sony threads. At least that is my impression. 

It's no different than the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic thread, I imagine. Just a bunch of passionate guys getting together, taking off their shirts an letting their muscles ripple, and talking about something they love. At least, that how I imagine the MLP thread being.
