While I doubt it, it's atleast in the top 5 :D. Really cool! Sony cant seem to not get a title in there for the last 5 years haha

PS3 keeps on improving in quality and titles. Great support from Sony to its gamers bringing more games in very short time with upmost quality in different categories.

Standings thus far! (Sorted ties by looking at critics)

* The Winners of this year *

The Walking Dead: The Game - 25

The Critics' Picks - 22

The Readers' Picks - 3

Journey - 10

The Critics' Picks - 9

The Readers' Picks - 1

Mass Effect 3 - 9

Dishonored - 8

Journey got a big one - IGNs Overall! That's the second game from 08->12 that a PS3 exclusive wins there. 09 it was Uncharted 2 and now in 12, Journey.

Walking dead leading the pack with an impressive amount and clearly looks to become the big winner!

Mad respect downloadable games, mad respect!

Far Cry 3 takes the lead for best graphics of 2012! Followed closely by Journey & Halo 4! This is a very close one guys, unlike the other years where one game dominated!

metal gear 4 winning graphics award over crysis is insult

Crysis came out in 2007, MGS4 came out in 2008.

crysis warhead

That is true, but the media (almost) never consider PC games for some reason...

Where's the fun in using the machine that can't be topped?

That and I don't remember the last time an expansion pack (or DL-only title) ever won a "Best Graphics" award - on any platform. What was surprising, however, was MGS4 beating out Gears of War 2 in 2008, on most sites. I thought Gears 2, overall, looked better, despite MGS4's better looking character models.

Maybe that's because PC isn't a single universal built in hardware but a term for any general-purpose computer? Not really a fair comparison

They're not giving awards to the platform, but the achievements and technology of the game

PC hasn't received many of those since Half Life 2

Update my list? I havent added it to the OP yet. Waiting for the year to end and we can tell whats what. Games are going up and down daily right now so lets all be patient. I will occasionally bump the topic with the standings though by making a post.

The top 5 so far seems to be Walking dead as confirmed, the rest are all really battling still (Journey, Borderlands 2, Dishonored, ME3 etc). Will be very interesting to see which final 5 we get. This year is far closer than any year though.

As for graphics, Far Cry 3 is leading barely at the moment. Halo 4 and Journey are just behind it. Same goes here, we have to wait and see.

That had little to do with my point. Why wasn't it a fair comparison when MGS4 was compared to Crysis?

I was addressing the ''machine that can't be topped'' part
