Dude, you just installed a fresh operating system.....

Wait a few weeks until your hd has clogged up again (as every MS operating system does) and your speed will be the same as before..

First tests with a few games actually show that Win8 runs about 3 percent slower than Win7.


I didn't reformat my computer, I simply upgraded. My HD is still just as clogged as before.

I have a windows phone 7 (LG). The OS is very smooth, but there's no wow factor. I had an iPhone 4 but got bored of it, but it was the best phone I owned.

I'll be getting the Galaxy Note II for my jump into Android.

Finally got my OEM copy of Pro for $110. Clean install achieved.

I downloaded the free feature upgrage to Media Center and I've been messing around a bit. Some stuff is hard to find coming from Win 7 but it usually turns up if you look hard enough. Not sure I like Metro as a replacement for the Start Menu or as a non touchscreen Interface but I'll see if it grows on me over time.
