Both versions are identical. Any problems are miniscule. If anything, the exclusive content should get its own seperate review.

Dont act like its a one way street, many multiplats have the PS3 version  with an identical score when it had more issues over 360.

That's not true though...The exclusive content is there, and it should be included in the review.

yeah as long as they don't say "this version has less content it will get 5% less as punishment" everything is ok. they can test both versions as if they would be different games and rate both for it's own and everything would be fine.

i mean, it should be pretty clear even for the biggest xbox fan. if the ps3 version makes more fun because of the extra content it deserves a higher rating. it doesn't deserve the same rating even if  people enjoy it more and a second rating for the extra fun haha

You forgot the most famous review of Meristation. Assassin's Creed 1 - 9.6/10

Assassin's Creed 3 has received 8.3/10 in 360 and 8.5/10 in PS3.

Why is the 360 version lower ? :c

probably because of the  missing content but not 100% sure

THIS.

More content on PS3 should automatically give it a higher score. It's just common sense. Not only that, but they mention that the PS3 version has less problems.

I just hope that websites like IGN don't receive the PS3 version, play it and give an identical score to the 360 version. I know they will though so I won't stress about it. Lazy journalism is to be expected.

@bold
Never said it was a one way street. Skryim PS3 reviews should have reflected its problems, they didn't. Same goes for Bayonetta and any other lazy port out there.

@underlined
Nope. The exclusive content is on-disc and part of the game, not DLC. This additional content should count towards the final score.

There is absolutely no reason to give this game a higher review score on ps3 just because it has a few extra missions. In the review just include that the ps3 version has slightly more content. The only case a game should have a lower score is if the game is considerable worse on the other platform, which I highly doubt is the case.

OT: I predict 88-90 meta. Usually when a game has a lower or higher score for a different platform it's:

A. Different number of scores will change the average.
B. Review sites for dedicted platforms will be different.

Some of these screenshots make me long for a new, proper Prince of Persia game.

I'm still kinda meh about Assassin's Creed. I should probably give 2 another shot.

Same here. I've completed AC2 and it was just okay imo. Nothing was really great about the game. The missions were repetitive. The fighting was so easy that it was borderline insulting; same for the platforming. I don't see what people love about this game aside from graphics. AC3 does look better though.

the 360 version wouldn't get a lower score as it would get without a bigger ps3 version, the 360 version would get the score it deserves and vice versa. a reviewer should always test the game as if it would be unique and wouldn't run on different systems to decide which score it deserves. the scores would be always fair then (as much as the own opinion in a review is fair).

if you review two absolutely different games and one is more fun because of the missions, why shouldn't you also give a game which is more fun as the same game with less content a higher score? it is more fun to play this game so it deserves a higher rating.

all in theory, if it is more fun because of it is another question.

€dit: just saw it seems like it is  content you have to download and with that it shouldn't get a better score then even if it's awesome because not everyone has his console online so not everyone will play this version with the extra content

il be picking this up regardless and depending on the price could be day 1. All the others have been around £32.99 and i won't be paying £40 now!
I'm happy the PS3 version is the superior tbh. can't wait for AC3:Liberation too when i have more money!

Your username already told us that. But why are you happy for that? :S

Not sure that's the case anyway just yet.

AC3, overhyped imo. How come it's suddenly the hip thing to love everything AC?

evidently because it was the version he was planning to buy...

i don't think you would need a detective to deduce that

Exactly! All I hear is how the 360 versions are better but this time the PS3 has the content and it runs better, which is good for me! Lol

also love how people judge my name.. I game a lot on playstation, I love Nintendo games and love Gears of War. Don't judge me on a username.

I will buy AC III on 360 for two reasons:

1) Up until now, I've bought every game in the franchise on 360. Jumping ship and buying it on PS3 (or Wii U) would feel...

2) I'm more desperate for Achievements than Trophies.

Good for you.

Where does it say it runs better on a certain system?

Also any review that is giving this game almost perfect scores before the patch is out is playing the customer. There is a patch with a list a mile long fixing like half the game. It doesn't go live until tomorrow according to Ubisofts forum manager.

There are missions out there so broken that it crashes your game if done a certain way.
