No one considers Borderlands 2 for GOTY?

I hope not. It's hard to find a game with more boring missions than Borderlands, at least the first one.

But Borderlands 2 is awesome. I hated the first game and now I have dumped 53 hours into the second game so far. That's by far the most time I have invested into a game this year.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

I think its funny how there are more reviews for the 360 version even though the PS3 one has exclusive content :)

Make way for Halo 4 now! All eyes are on you

Metacritic are biased. They add reviews to the 360 version when the review is also for the PS3 version. BTW, 88 vs. 84 :)

80-89 range = Same. No need to quibble on a few points when your in the same camp. Now if the PS3 version was 90+ then youd have something.

Also, (insert conspiracy picture here). :)

No, 85-95 is the same. So unfortunately ACIII on 360 is a level below the PS3 version.

It's the truth though, and that also explains the 4 point score difference. Just compare and contrast which reviews they picked for each one. ACII got more "360 reviews" added as well, and so did all the others iirc.

85 for 360 and 87 for PS3 right now ;)

Well, there may be more reviews, but this is the first one to appear on Metacritic.

It's from a Spanish site. It says it has loads of bugs and the draw distance is much shorter than in previous games :/

They gave the other Assassin's Creed games:

Assassin's Creed II - 8.0/10

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - 8.5/10

Assassin's Creed: Revelations - 8.0/10

So 8.5/10 sounds pretty good to me!

This is why I use reviews as a guide. ACII was miles better than Revelations and Brotherhood is not the best in the series (clearly other people disagree be for me its second behind AC  II).

Whoa whoa. Your the first person to group high 80's games with 90+ games. That aint the consensus....90+ is its own category and cant be infiltrated by 80's scores. 85-95 isnt the same because the key difference is the "8" and "9" as the first digit, automatically seperating each from the other. The second digit is mere "details".

I aint seeing people going "AC3 for PS3 isnt 90+ anymore. Its okay, its still in the high 80's". I see people saying "Its not 90+ anymore it aint GOTY material, nothing to see here". More or less.

Some reviews are even saying it's the worst home console Assassin's Creed since the original. Damn.

Also, it seems Liberation is doing even worse.

But Revelations is worse than the original...

No, over 95 is GOTY material so that should be its own group. Then we go 10 down from there.

Some GOTYs don't even reach 95 >.>

Any 90+ game can be nominated for GOTY. Your the first person to say such a thing. I mean to group 85-89 games with low 90 games is just wrong and confusing. Its a good thing only you seem to share this stance.

Its simpler and more practical to group things by the 10's. I mean to use a 95 game to make a 91 game suck by comparison is equally weird.....they both earned the badge of 90+ and deserve equal praise.

doesn't seem that low? quote me when you see a 5/10.

Edit: see above

One game now sets the standard for all else past, present, and future?

With AC3, it just means one is a better 80's game then the other but neither are 90+ material.
