You think Live isn't free for nothing? Wow.

Not exactly. I think it's not free primarily because they sell it in the US, they charge for it because they can given they are focused on a localized market.
they can charge for chat and they can charge for services. even the brand new wiiu is not really focused on cross game chatting because they are going for a global appeal and that is not a major selling point for their market

No idea what you're implying here. What have the prices of games to do with this thread now. Also judging your last post, you forget that European games already include tax, which is around 20% in Europe.

I'm saying that xbox owners buy more games because they are for the most part in the US and their market is far more appealing (cheaper).
I'm gonna insist, even the last gen tie ratios ( 11.01 for Xbox, 10.66 for PS2 ) do kinda show that it's a region thing. what it says is that the US is a stronger (and more appealing) market. as i said your day one price of 60 bucks (45 euros) is a pipe dream for us.

And I'm from Europe, so I know what you're saying.
Still our games already include tax. 60€ games are 48€ without tax versus a 60 dollar game (45€). Wow 3€ difference.
Now if you're European you can easily get your games from the UK, which are far cheaper than the games in the US or mainland Europe.
Usually 50€ or less (including 10€ tax) and free shipping costs. That's 40€ compared to the 45€ Americans pay.
