i'm sorry, how long would it take to get GTA on wii U?  is it zero days with zero employees? no?  i mean geez, rockstar isn't launching the PC port day 1 either.  resource management means not being able to everything all at once.

Wow, guess you weren't around this site then when this was announced. Lilbro hyped this as the second coming and the thread he made reached several hundred replies. Nintendo fans put Bayonetta pics in their sigs and avatars and taunted others with snide remarks about it. Lol, you can think it was only because of a few meltdowns if you like, but there's no denying the hype.

You can't say all Nintendo fans hyped the game because of a couple of users on this site. You should have checked Hideki Kamiya twitter after the announcement, the guy had more negative comments (including death threats) than positive comments.

He's saying the only reason we hyped it as much as we did was because of the outrage. It is one of my more anticipated games, but just because the original was one of the very short list of PS360 games that i think i really missed out on (and a few of those other games are Sonic games).

When you can provide proof of it not only being for PC then you will have a point and isn't it scalable? You have no evidence and are probably one of the many mad at it being for WiiU. According to you, Gigalamesh's Vita outselling the 3DS thread is proof of every Sony fan believing the same. You are using what one poster did and saying Ninty fans are hyping it. The other posters aren't hyping it, they are laughing at the meltdowns. There is proof of that and no proof of anyone hyping it. I guess Last of Us is hyped too. No one is in denial but you.

This is what nintendo owners get every time. 'want that game? go buy xbox or playstation.' Yet funnily enough the internet threw flames when bayonetta 2 was announced as a wii u exclusive. So why don't they take their own advice?

I can't afford to keep replacing a 360. Like I said before, I didn't know it was possible to go through 5 consoles in a generation but microsoft proved me wrong. Why should people be forced to buy such shoddy hardware to play gta when it would be perfectly easy for rockstar to turn around and port it to wii u?

And btw, that isn't trolling. That is a serious question from my expirience with the 360.

And how many of them did you buy ? Certainly not all 5 or rather if you did, you clearly didn't use the three years warranty extension Microsoft offered you.
While Bayonetta surely is a simliar case, it's not the same. Even though I agree that the hatred was too much and personally I never said that PS360 gamers were entitled to get the sequel.
I just said "wow that's a big one for WiiU".

But for now, 360s and PS3s are just as reliable as a Wiis.

The game has been in development for 5 years when it comes out, why delay it any further just to have a WiiU version at launch.

Where are the Final Fantasy games from last gen for 360 ? They got the online FFXI but why not FFXII even though the 360 was already out at that time ?
Knights of the Old Republic for PS3 ? Surely if they manage to get ME1 on PS3, there must be a way to get them on a different platform.

I did not say "all". There were quite a few, but nowhere near all. The fans of Bayonetta are dedicated I guess...but you can't start a fire without a spark and the sparks were abundant.

The "sparks" came from the annoucement and the fire came form Sony/Ms fans. Take a look at twitter when it was announced lol. You know it, I know it, we all know it.

That doesn't change the fact that it was hyped, but really this whole discussion about Bayonetta is beside the point. The point was that I don't think Nintendo are willing to spend huge sums on games like GTAV

Spend: no. They shouldn't have to spend. Multi-billion dollar companies like Take Two shouldn't be so short-sighted as to overlook Nintendo.

That begs the question of Rockstar haven't scoured gaming forums for years where comments from Nintendo fans like this one have been anything but positive towards GTA.

Generally big-name games, so long as they aren't feature-gimped, will find similar sizes of audience between platforms. How is it that Sony and Microsoft gamers seem to share their tastes upwards of 80% of the time? Because on the whole, good games tend to sell. Just as there are people who own 360s and PS3s but probably care little about a game that last gen was derided as a casual game (how soon we forget), so there are Nintendo fans to whom games like this are unappealing.
