Wow, guess you weren't around this site then when this was announced. Lilbro hyped this as the second coming and the thread he made reached several hundred replies. Nintendo fans put Bayonetta pics in their sigs and avatars and taunted others with snide remarks about it. Lol, you can think it was only because of a few meltdowns if you like, but there's no denying the hype.

You can't say all Nintendo fans hyped the game because of a couple of poster on this site. You should have checked Hideki Kamiya after the announcement, the guy had more negative comments (including death threats) than positive comments. 

I did not say "all". There were quite a few, but nowhere near all. The fans of Bayonetta are dedicated I guess...but you can't start a fire without a spark and the sparks were abundant.

The "sparks" came from the annoucement and the fire came form Sony/Ms fans. Take a look at twitter when it was announced lol. You know it, I know it, we all know it.
