Have third parties ever done a better Kinect or 360/Dualshock controller ? I think not.

OT: I finally got to try it at Best Buy and I have to say I couldn't disagree more. It was light (without feeling cheap), very comfortable to hold, and the touch screen was incredibly responsive and looked quite nice as well. The only negative for me was the lack of analogue shoulder triggers and it does take a little getting used to having the right stick above the buttons, but that was really a moot point. And I'm definitely buying Rayman now (damn, it looks nice!). Super hyped for the system even more after trying it out. |
Yes it was light and the screen looked great but you couldn't use the touch screen while holding it normally could you? Also the vertical bumps on the back made it much better to hold with one hand but they didn't feel the best when holding it traditionally. I agree with Rayman, it was great and I loved how it made music based off what was happening.

Actually I think it is because I am so used to Vita. Since both the gamepad and the vita are so similar I was really expecting it to feel similar. Instead the gamepad is like nothing else. The vertical grips on the back are what really differentiate the two.
tried it at Comic-con and it was light and took me seconds to get used to. I can see there being some issues with moving your hand to touch something, even having to look away at the screen. IE pressing the pad to select moves on Tekken, but i would never use that method anyway because its for talent less cowards, so meh. It was ok with Batman though
I got to use the gamepad this morning at the canadian wii U tour, I completly disagree with this thread. The gamepad is light, fits very comfortably in to your hands and the touchscreen is very responsive. It took me a BIG 5 minutes to get used to the gamepad, you were probably too lasy to even try it for more then 5 minutes or you are just another anti-nintendo troll trying to prove something.

Yes, Resident Evil will be a mess on this system.

it felt great when i used it didnt take long to get used to and had really no issues using it
I didn't really care for the controller either. I would have enjoyed my experience much more with a more traditional style controller.
I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.
I am calling Nintendo right now to blow the entire thing off.
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
Completely disagree. I thought it fit comfortably in my hands, was very easy to use and adapt to. I won't be getting one at release but I always wait for a a few months before getting a console to see what the games are like.
So far, it looks promising.
