Forums - Sony - Sony Cancels Gamer's Day Due To Overcrowding

This year’s Gamer’s Day was expected to host 5-10 thousand attendees but instead, Sony got their hands full with an estimated 30 thousand + eager gamers. It was so overwhelming, that Sony had to cancel the show.

 

For those that aren’t aware, every year Sony holds a huge Gamer’s Day even in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  The past events have been a huge success and if I’m not mistaken, it’s the only free gaming event in the world that is the equivalent of the Electronics Entertainment Expo.  Several publishers showcase unreleased games at this show.  As a gamer, this is a huge opportunity to play some great new games before they are released into the wild.  Unlike other consumer shows like PAX and Comic Con, Sony Gamer’s Day is FREE to the public.

Yeah, Kylie hates everthing including Life cereal.  He wasn't always like that.  Once, he was just a normal gamer like you and me.  Then, one day, he was bitten by a radioactive complaint and his whole life changed.  If you like it, he dislikes it.  If you love it, he REALLY hates it.  But sometimes, if you dislike it, he will like it.  He's funny like that.

Well, in spite of having to cancel, sony probably arent too unhappy with the size of the crowd. Clearly people are interested in trying out games (and sony games) and this suggests the numbers of gamers in the region is increasing.

But instead of upsetting all 30 000, just charge a fee of $10 to weed out the "freeloaders"
