Some improvement suggestions:

Kinect Adventures (Extensively Bundled)
Halo 3 (Partially Bundled)
Fable 2 (Partially Bundled)
Sports Champion (Heavily Bundled)
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune (Partially Bundled)
Resistance: Fall of Man (Partially Bundled)

Will do, been a while since I updated those.

Kinect Adventures I will say Heavily bundled because i don't know how many sales are due to Kinect console buys and how many are due to standalone kinect sensors.

Wait....was Halo 3 bundled other then a limited edition console at launch?

Does it matter though ? Nobody can buy a standalone copy of Kinect Adventures.

A lot of games get limited edition bundles, and they don't account for many sales. Final Fantasy XIII, Resident Evil 5, Gran Turismo, Gears of War, etc, etc all have limited edition bundles accounting for maybe 100k (depends on the game).

However that bundle you mention is not a limited time bundle, meaning sales of the game can be drastically affected by the console bundle.

That's a very nice read for someone who likes numbers. Looks like Uncharted 2 will be above MGS4 in your Q3 update ;o

I do like my numbers, I hope I get more responses from my Q3 Update. Guess the info will be more relevant. Q4 has the most changes.

You should remove bundle only games, or in the cases was only bundled in certain regions remove those regions figures, since they aren't actual sales.

What games are you thinking of in particular? Wii Sports and Kinect Adventures?

This would be ard to do. Wii Sports only became available as a standalone game late into the consoles life, and I have no ethod of spliting weekly sales between existing console bundles and standalone units. Same with Kinect Adventure, yes it's bundled with the sensor, but I consider the sensor with Kinect Adventures as a game with a peripheral. I also have no way of separating Kiect console bundles apart from standaline sensors.

This is why I label which games are bundles, so that when people see 5 Wii ___ games at the top of the list, well there is a reason for it.

If you were refering to bundled sales of Forza, Uncharted, Gears of War, etc, again I have no method of determining exactly how many sales are due to bundles. I can only estimate.

I might have my Q3 up by Wednesday. Since I got my Q2 template all updated and all the data copied from VGC, all I have to do is organize, and move games on their respective charts.

Great thread. This is definitely the gen for shooters and action adventures. Those sales dwarf all the rest.
I didn't realize that the original Playstation sold over a 100 million. Will the Wii still be able to catch it, starts to look unlikely.

This year Wii is selling about 50% as well as it did last year. So if it keeps this up, Wii will reach 99 million by years end, putting annual sales at about 5.5 million. It then only needs 5 more million to surpass PS1 sales. It probably won't happen in 2013, but I think Wii sales will surpass PS1 sales. After all PS2 still sold over 4 million units after 12 years on the market. While Wii's legs aren't as strong as PS2's, I think it's very capable of selling 3 million units in 2013 (it's 8th year on the market), and the make up the next 2 million needed to pass PS1 by 2015.

What's more interesting in the relationship between PSP and well everything. PSP is about 6.5 million sales behind GBA in terms of overall sales, but PSP sales are crawling now. Also with an alligned launch, PSP sold about on par with PS3, except for a drop in year 5 for PSP only (I'll show these graphs in my Q4). So PS3 and X360 will top PSP someday, and it's interesting to see when, and if PS3 can still top X360.

Do you use Sony financial numbers for PS2? Also lol at PS1 getting adjusted up.

Kind of. VGC used to track PS2 sales and I recorded all of VGC's data up until fall 2011. The sales I came up with are calculated based off the sales trend PS2 was following, and weekly values which Media Create still continue to supply (Just so you know, PS2 still sells about 200-300 units a week in Japan). I'm going to keep making those calculations for 2012, but come Q1 2013 I'll probably just list PS2 at 154.4 million (The number of units shipped).

Sony only gives out shipped numbers, they also stopped giving out annual/quarterly shipped figures for PS2 after 2011 (Which is probably why VGC stopped tracking the PS2). I'm fairly certain they stopped manufactering PS2's now and shipped all of their stock. If they post annual/quarterly shipment figures for 2012, then I'll estimate sales much in the same way VGC did it.

I believe you should mention that Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec was pretty heavily bundled for a while and Wii Play was bundled with a Wii Remote.
