Forums - Gaming - Skyrim Dawnguard PS3: Punished for choosing wrong console

People here: "Open world games uses more system RAM than VRAM!"
Me: I proves the opposite is true.
People here: "B b b b u t we are talking about PS360"

That's don't change the fact "open world games" uses more VRAM than system RAM... so don't come here to say to another poster that he is incorrect with bullshits.

I can say for sure that Skrym in PS3 are using more VRAM than system RAM... in the 360 too... if that's a issuie or not... I don't know.

And the issue posted in this OP have not to do with system memory... I have my doubts if have anything to do with memory at all.

Wait the fix (or not) for the truth.

you have not proven *anything* by now, especially not for ps360. and nobody said that generally open world games use more ram than vram but skyrim most probably does.

Exactly.

ethomaz you've proven nothing except your lack of ability to make a fair comparison and inability to read the post before yours which strung up your argument like a trussed turkey. :p

Fine if you think so.

lol

If the PS3 loyalists were Flat Earthers, I would have hated to have been Christopher Columbus.

The ability for people to argue against well documented facts, rather than suspend their beliefs in light of truths, is something I will never quite grasp.

1. Nothing can help Bethesda. They would have to pretty much completely rebuild the game to fix the problem.

2.  Thanks for repepeating it but I know what I said. You still haven't answered the question.

3. That doesn't make any sense. The RAM that is in your motherboard is system RAM. All of it. 100%. Video RAM is on the GPU. I just told you that I played it with at max settings with graphical enhancement mods no less with less than 1 GB of video RAM. The "processor" part of the GPU does the graphics rendering, not RAM. RAM is just for holding the data that is being processed.

The PS3 only has 256 MB of Video RAM ,so how has it been releasing 90% of it games in HD if that isn't enough?

So why all the guys in the internet show Skrym using over 1GB VRAM (not system RAM) even with mid resolutions???

Eg. http://imgur.com/r/gamingpc/MatJS

Why the gamers are buying 4GB GPU to play Skrym??? They don't need that... need system RAM lol lol lol

Skrym bottleneck is VRAM, not system RAM.

Show me a person who bought a 4GB GPUto play skyrim and I will question his intellegence.

OS: Windows 7/Vista/XP (32 or 64 bit)
CPU: quad-core Intel/AMD
RAM: 4GB
HDD: 6GB hard disk space
GFX RAM: DX9 video card with 1 GB
GFX: GTX 260/Radeon 4890 or higher
Audio: DX compatible sound card

The max setting on Skyrim list "4GB" system RAM as  a requirement and 1GB (GFX)Video RAM exactly like I said. I played with a GTX260 that had 886 MB of RAM on Max settings with enahncement mods and had not a single problem.

No game has ever needed more video memory than system memory, not in the history of the Earth.
