Forums - Nintendo - Finalizing Black Ops 2 Wii U DLC deal

News that Nintendo and Activision are finalizing downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the Wii U looks set to be another decent attempt to lure more fans of the series to their new console. Although the deal is not yet done, talks about a Black Ops 2 season pass will be ideal for those interested in obtaining the game along with new Wii U system, which is vying to get the most out of this title with the many features involved with this console.

Out of the DLC packs they are intending to put out there, Activision still informs gamers that they may not be available on all gaming platforms. Highlighting this news, CVG mention their optimism surrounding the implementation of an online service to Nintendo’s new console, as they are working to release DLC Map Packs and the DLC Season Pass on the Wii U. In other Black Ops 2 news, Examiner writes about the recent announcement of a Season Pass by Treyarch.

This pass is expected to provide gamers with all of the future DLC packs at a discounted price, with an offer for those of you interested in four content packs, which has $10 off at the price of $49.99. This content will become available following the game’s launch on 13th of November and this will include four epic DLC map packs with plenty of new content as well as Multiplayer and Zombies playable content.

In out most recent Black Ops 2 post we spoke about some weapon construction items for the zombie mode, and these are to be collected in order to create powerful weapons like the Zombie Shield. Looking at some screenshots of what is available we also mentioned comments by Activision’s Director of Brand Development Jay Puryear. He feels that although he does not want to divulge that much about what is on offer he maintains there will be plenty of surprises for those who want to explore throughout the game.

Can you see the Wii U console being the best way to play Black Ops 2? Alternatively, would you like to see more unique titles on Nintendo’s new console?

I do not like this. Not at all. I dislike DLC is stuff like this is part of the main reason why. This news already verfied that the content exist. Instead of giving it to us, they are withholding it to charge later and the cost looks to be around the size of an entire game. I seriously doubt the DLC is going to be even 1/4 a games worth of content.

Why did you edit out the name of the author and the date when it was made? Should the author not get any credit?

What are you talking about?

This does seem like a bit of a non-article. I'd have been more surprised if they weren't making DLC for the Wii-U version.

I suppose you could argue that you have reason to be unsure since it is third-party-versus-Nintendo - but arguably Treyarch supported Wii as best they could with Call of Duty - and with a system able to run the game as well if not better than the HD twins, it makes sense that they're going all in with it.

So yeah. Not a surprise, but good for any of the people excited about Wii-U who will be buying this & would like the DLC.
